Two decades on the shop floor

Milestones worth showing.

  1. 2006

    One milling centre, one engineer.

HongChen Precision opens in a single bay with a three-axis VMC and a promise: every drawing gets a real engineer to read it before any quote goes out.

  2. 2011

    Five-axis arrives.

We add our first five-axis trunnion to handle complex geometry in one setup. Tolerance grades tighten and lead times drop on the parts that used to need three operations.

  3. 2015

    ISO 9001:2015 certification.

An independent audit confirms our quality management system. Documentation moves from a shared folder to a controlled, traceable trail on every shipment.

  4. 2019

    Second workshop, second time zone.

A partner workshop on the other side of the country joins the chain. Capacity roughly doubles, and engineering review stays under one roof so the answer in your inbox is always the same one.

  5. 2023

    In-process inspection on every cell.

CMM and surface-roughness probes are wired into the production cells. First-article and in-process checks happen without slowing the cycle.

  6. 2026

DFM answers in one business day.

The current team β€” engineering, production, supply β€” runs the workflow that ships a real DFM reply and a real delivery date inside one working day for almost every drawing we receive.

Global footprint

Closer than you think.

Manufacturing partners across two time zones, shipping under one engineering team.

Who we work with

Trusted across industries.

Each industry has its own review checklist and we apply it from the first quote.

Certifications

Documentation, not decorative.

Certificates live on each quote β€” never on a marketing slide.

Quality without guesswork

Evidence at every critical point.

Quality is not a slide at the end of the pitch. It is built into every cell, every inspection report, and every shipped package.

  • First-article inspection

Every PO starts with a written FAI report β€” full dimensional check against the drawing, signed by the engineer who reviewed the part.

  • In-process CMM

Tight-tolerance features are measured on the machine, not just at the end. Drift gets caught before it costs you a batch.

  • Surface testing

Roughness and hardness tests available on request, performed in our metrology lab and reported back with the shipment.

  • Full traceability

Material certificates, FAI reports, and inspection summaries are bundled into a PDF and emailed with every delivery.
